Run this to install the Olin's Depot software and firmware on a
Windows system, version XP or later. A Olin's Depot menu will be
created, any necessary device drivers installed, and executables will be
automatically added to the command search path (can then be run from any
command shell). Documentation files will be in the DOC directory
within the software installation directory (c:\olinsdepot\doc if
installed to the default location).
This release includes the following:
- MORBUS program. This is a command line interface to a
MorBus server. This is a low level program intended to
debugging and diagnosis, and not intended for general end-user
operation. See the morbus_prog.txt documentation file for
details.
- DCCSNIFF program. Command line interface to a Olin's
Depot DCC protocol sniffer. Can be used to see all traffic on a
DCC bus. Requires the protocol sniffer hardware.
- Various small utility and test programs.
- Firmware for various embedded processors in Olin's Depot
hardware. This will be in the SRC\ODEP directory within the
software installation directory. There will be a documentation
file for each firmware in the DOC directory named fw_name.txt,
where name is the specific name of the firmware.
- Device drivers required for any of the above.
